Worth knowing:
Platform Top Base
What it is: The Genuine Dunlopillo Essentials Base features a solid wooden top upholstered in fabric, available with drawer or ottoman storage.
How it helps you: Provides a consistent, supportive feel across the entire mattress surface and is covered by the base's own 10-year guarantee.
Storage Options
What it is: Storage configurations available: Divan Drawer Options, made from hard-wearing laminate with smooth runners, or a Platform Top Ottoman Base using a gas ram mechanism to lift the entire base top.
How it helps you: Drawers offer easy daily access without lifting the mattress. The Ottoman base suits customers who need maximum storage volume and do not require daily access - a king size ottoman divan base holds around six times more than a 2-drawer divan.
The Included Mattress: Dunlopillo Elite Cool Touch Supreme
What it is: A medium (3/6) hybrid mattress built on a 2,340-count pocket spring system, layered with Premium Talalay Latex and a natural wool comfort layer. The mattress is hand-tufted, finished with 4 rows of side stitching, and covered in a cooling technical fabric.
How it helps you: The Talalay latex and wool combine for pressure-relieving, temperature-regulating comfort, while the pocket springs provide responsive, independent support beneath. The cooling cover and naturally hypoallergenic latex help keep the sleep surface fresh. This is a no-turn mattress - rotate head to toe regularly to extend lifespan.

Vs bed frames: A divan set sits lower to the floor with a more minimal visible profile than most bed frames, and the base is fully upholstered with no exposed legs or joints. The set includes the mattress, whereas bed frame buyers purchase their mattress separately - though bed frames do offer more design variety.
Vs other divan sets in this price range: This set offers a genuine latex hybrid mattress rather than a standard foam or open-coil comfort layer, paired with a solidly built Platform Top base and a longer-than-average 15-year mattress guarantee. Where cheaper divan sets often use synthetic fillings throughout, this set's latex and wool comfort layers add durability and natural temperature regulation.
Vs premium and luxury divan ranges: This set shares the same natural Talalay latex, pocket spring technology and hand-tufted construction found in higher-priced ranges. The difference is typically in the depth of the comfort layers and the number of fillings, rather than any compromise in base quality or craftsmanship.
The Elite Cool Touch Supreme mattress is backed by Dunlopillo's 15-year manufacturer's guarantee against defects in materials and workmanship, and the genuine Dunlopillo Essentials base carries its own 10-year guarantee. Given the quality of the Talalay latex and hand-tufted construction, this is a set built to last - the guarantees reflect that confidence.
National Bed Federation (NBF) Approved - Independently verified to meet strict UK standards for quality, safety and responsible manufacturing.
Manufacturing Guild Mark - A recognised mark of quality, craftsmanship and durability, showing this set meets rigorous manufacturing standards.
The Elite Cool Touch Supreme Divan Bed delivers a rare combination: a solidly built, storage-flexible base matched to a naturally hypoallergenic, cooling latex mattress - all backed by dual 15 and 10-year guarantees. If you're a side, back or front sleeper, share a bed, or want a complete sleep package without the guesswork of pairing base and mattress separately, this set is one to consider.
