The Dunlopillo Sovereign is a medium-feel (3/6) latex mattress from Dunlopillo, the UK's original latex pioneer, handmade in Great Britain since 1929. It combines a generous comfort layer of natural Talalay Latex with Dunlopillo's aerated VENTRA Core Performance foam support system, all wrapped in a Dunlopillo Plus Fabric Cover with temperature-regulating cooling fibres. The result is a beautifully balanced, medium-tension mattress that cushions pressure points, keeps you cool through the night, and comes backed by a free 15-year manufacturer's guarantee for lasting peace of mind.
A premium latex mattress best suited to sleepers who want medium, all-round support, effective cooling and a hypoallergenic sleep surface.
Medium Feel - 3/6: The Goldilocks option - not too firm, not too soft. Medium is the most versatile firmness level, balancing comfort and support in a way that suits most sleeper types.

Vs firmer mattresses: The natural Talalay Latex comfort layer gives noticeably more pressure relief at the shoulders and hips than a firm mattress. If you sleep on your side or want a contouring, cushioned feel, this is likely the better choice. Firmer mattresses suit heavier sleepers or those who want a more rigid, supportive surface.
Vs softer mattresses: This mattress has more structural support beneath the comfort layer, thanks to the VENTRA foam core. Softer mattresses can feel more immediately plush but may not maintain spinal alignment as consistently, especially for combination sleepers or heavier body weights.
Vs premium and luxury mattresses: This mattress shares the same natural Talalay Latex and hypoallergenic credentials found in higher-priced latex ranges. The difference is typically in the depth and number of comfort layers, rather than any compromise in the quality of the latex itself.
The Dunlopillo Sovereign is backed by Dunlopillo's 15-year manufacturer's guarantee against defects in materials and workmanship. Given the quality of the natural Talalay Latex and precision-engineered VENTRA Core, this is a mattress built to last - the guarantee reflects that confidence.
National Bed Federation (NBF) Approved - Independently verified to meet strict UK standards for quality, safety and responsible manufacturing.
Dunlopillo Manufacturing Guild Mark - Awarded for handmade craftsmanship in Great Britain, recognising quality that meets Dunlopillo's own exacting production standards.
The Dunlopillo Sovereign delivers a rare combination: naturally hypoallergenic latex comfort, effective cooling, and handmade British craftsmanship, all backed by a 15-year guarantee. If you're a side, back or front sleeper looking for a well-balanced medium feel, this is one to consider.
