Worth Knowing
Upholstered Divan Base
What it is: A divan-style guest bed base upholstered in your choice of fabric and colour, raised on chrome-finish feet.
How it helps you: The upholstered finish gives the bed a softer, warmer appearance than metal or wood and makes it a more versatile piece for rooms where the bed is visible during the day.
Pull-Out Trundle with Lift Mechanism
What it is: A second bed stored beneath the main bed on castors, which pulls out and lifts on black metal extendable legs to the same height as the main bed.
How it helps you: Gives three sleeping options in a single footprint - keep it stored as a single, raise it alongside to create a double-width bed, or push the two beds apart to use as two individual singles.
Included Mattresses
What it is: Two medium tension (3/6) Bonnell spring mattresses, each 18cm deep - a 90 x 190cm mattress for the main bed and a 75 x 175cm mattress for the trundle.
How it helps you: Removes the need to source compatible mattresses separately - the trundle mattress is made to fit the trundle exactly and sits within its 18cm depth limit.
Bonnell Spring Unit
What it is: A spring system where the springs are wired together to form one framework beneath the mattress fillings.
How it helps you: Provides the same level of support across the whole mattress and is a cost-effective alternative to an independent pocket spring system.
Reinforced White Fillings
What it is: Traditional mattress fillings layered on top of the spring unit.
How it helps you: Adds a comfortable, supportive layer between the sleeper and the springs for a cushioned feel.
Wire Edge Support
What it is: A heavy gauge wire running around the edge of the spring unit.
How it helps you: Gives the mattress extra support at the edges, helping it keep its shape when sitting or sleeping close to the side.
Micro-Quilted Cover and Borders
What it is: A cover where the top and side comfort layers are quilted together.
How it helps you: Holds the fillings securely in place and gives a smoother-looking, even sleeping surface.
Strutted Headboard
What it is: A plain upholstered headboard fixed to the base on struts, included as standard.
How it helps you: Completes the look of the bed and gives a comfortable backrest for reading or sitting up in bed.

Vs standard single bed frames: A standard single bed frame gives one sleeping surface and nothing else. A guest bed gives a single bed as its primary function but stores a second sleeping surface underneath, available whenever guests need it. If the room only ever needs to sleep one person, a standard bed frame is simpler, lower in profile, and usually less expensive. If occasional two-person sleeping is needed, a guest bed removes the need for a second bed or a sofa bed entirely.
Vs sofa beds: A sofa bed converts between a sofa and a full sleeping surface, typically opening to a double or larger size. It suits living rooms or rooms where the seating function matters as much as the sleeping function. A guest bed looks like a bed and stays in a bedroom - it does not have a sofa configuration. The trundle provides a second sleeping surface without requiring the room to have a sofa. If you need furniture that acts as a sofa during the day, a sofa bed is the right choice. If you have a spare bedroom and need it to sleep two without having two full beds, a guest bed works well.
Vs other guest beds in the range: The Dreamworld Buddy is the all-in-one choice - both mattresses and a headboard are included, it is made in the UK, NBF approved and backed by a 5 year warranty. Guest beds with two full-size single mattresses give a more even double-width surface, while frame-style guest beds sold without mattresses let you choose your own mattress for each bed.
The Dreamworld Buddy is backed by a 5 year Highgrove Beds warranty. For a guest bed that is made in the UK, NBF approved and supplied with both mattresses and a headboard, a 5 year warranty is a strong signal of confidence in long-term build quality.
Land of Beds Best Seller - One of our most-purchased guest beds, based on sales volume, customer reviews and long-term value.
National Bed Federation (NBF) Approved - Independently verified to meet strict UK standards for quality, safety and responsible manufacturing.
The Dreamworld Buddy turns a single spare bedroom or child's room into a space that can sleep two - the trundle stores neatly beneath the main bed and lifts to the same height in moments. Upholstered in your choice of colour and finish, supplied with two medium tension mattresses and a headboard, made in the UK and backed by a 5 year warranty, it is ready for guests from the day it arrives. Available in single size with free UK delivery included.

It’s basic. The fittings for the headboard were not properly tight meaning I could only attach 3 out of 4 bolts. The pull out guest bed is wobbly. I am not sure of the overall durability - looks pretty flimsy. I had definitely hoped for a better quality than this for the price. But it does basically so what it says.
