Worth Knowing
Upholstered Divan Base
What it is: A divan-style guest bed base built with FSC certified timber, upholstered in your choice of fabric and colour, and sitting flush to the floor.
How it helps you: The upholstered finish gives the bed a softer, warmer appearance than metal or wood, and the flush base gives a clean, tidy look in rooms where the bed is visible during the day.
Full-Size Trundle with Lift Mechanism
What it is: A full-size second bed stored within the main base on castors, which rolls out and lifts on metal legs to the same height as the main bed.
How it helps you: Gives three sleeping options in a single footprint - keep it stored as a single, raise it alongside to create a double-width bed, or push the two beds apart to use as two individual singles.
Included Mattresses
What it is: Two medium tension (3/6) single mattresses, each 90 x 190cm and 18cm deep - one for the main bed and one for the trundle - in a choice of traditional sprung, pocket sprung, or one of each.
How it helps you: Removes the need to source compatible mattresses separately - the bed is ready to sleep on from the day it arrives, with mattresses that sit within the trundle's 18cm depth limit.
Traditional Open Coil Spring Unit (Traditional Sprung Option)
What it is: A 13.5 gauge open coil spring system, where the springs are wired together to form one framework beneath the mattress fillings.
How it helps you: Provides the same level of support across the whole mattress and is a cost-effective alternative to an independent pocket spring system.
1000 Pocket Springs (Pocket Sprung Option)
What it is: Individual springs housed in their own fabric pockets - the upper part shapes to the body while the lower part absorbs changes in weight distribution.
How it helps you: The springs work independently to give individual support and avoid roll-together, for a more tailored feel than an open coil system.
Reinforced White Fillings
What it is: Traditional mattress fillings layered on top of the spring system on every mattress option.
How it helps you: Adds a comfortable, supportive layer between the sleeper and the springs for a cushioned feel.
Wire Edge Support
What it is: A heavy gauge wire running around the edge of the spring system.
How it helps you: Gives the mattress extra support at the edges, helping it keep its shape when sitting or sleeping close to the side.
Micro-Quilted Cover
What it is: A cover where the top comfort layers are quilted together.
How it helps you: Holds the fillings securely in place and gives a smoother-looking, even sleeping surface.

Vs standard single bed frames: A standard single bed frame gives one sleeping surface and nothing else. A guest bed gives a single bed as its primary function but stores a second sleeping surface underneath, available whenever guests need it. If the room only ever needs to sleep one person, a standard bed frame is simpler, lower in profile, and usually less expensive. If occasional two-person sleeping is needed, a guest bed removes the need for a second bed or a sofa bed entirely.
Vs sofa beds: A sofa bed converts between a sofa and a full sleeping surface, typically opening to a double or larger size. It suits living rooms or rooms where the seating function matters as much as the sleeping function. A guest bed looks like a bed and stays in a bedroom - it does not have a sofa configuration. The trundle provides a second sleeping surface without requiring the room to have a sofa. If you need furniture that acts as a sofa during the day, a sofa bed is the right choice. If you have a spare bedroom and need it to sleep two without having two full beds, a guest bed works well.
Vs other guest beds in the range: The Dreamworld Tandem is the choice for two equal full-size beds - unlike guest beds with a smaller trundle, both the main bed and the trundle take a standard 90 x 190cm single mattress. Guest beds with a headboard included suit those who want a complete look straight away, while frame-style guest beds sold without mattresses let you choose your own mattress for each bed.
The Dreamworld Tandem is backed by a 5 year Highgrove Beds warranty. For a guest bed that is NBF approved, built with FSC certified timber and supplied with both mattresses, a 5 year warranty is a strong signal of confidence in long-term build quality.
National Bed Federation (NBF) Approved - Independently verified to meet strict UK standards for quality, safety and responsible manufacturing.
Two single mattresses are included with the Dreamworld Tandem - one for the main bed and one for the trundle - and you can choose your combination at checkout. Every option is medium tension (3/6) and 18cm deep, within the trundle's 18cm maximum mattress depth.

The Dreamworld Tandem turns a single spare bedroom into a space that can sleep two overnight guests - the full-size trundle stores neatly within the base and lifts to main bed height in moments. Upholstered in your choice of colour and finish, supplied with two medium tension mattresses in the combination you choose, NBF approved and backed by a 5 year warranty, it is ready for guests from the day it arrives. Available in single size with free UK delivery included.
