Worth Knowing
Wooden Sprung Slatted Base
What it is: A slatted base made from flexible wooden slats with a natural spring to them.
How it helps you: Works in conjunction with the mattress to provide a comfortable, supportive feel. The natural bounce in the slats adjusts to your body profile where you exert the most pressure.
Linen-Effect Fabric Upholstery
What it is: The headboard, side rails and foot end are fully upholstered in a light grey fabric with a soft, linen-style texture.
How it helps you: The fabric feels soft to the touch and gives the bed a calm, tailored finish that sits easily alongside most bedroom colour schemes.
Panelled Headboard
What it is: An 89.5cm upholstered headboard with horizontal stitching that divides it into a series of clean panels.
How it helps you: The stitched panels add subtle texture and definition, giving the bed a considered, modern look without overwhelming a smaller room.
Low Foot End
What it is: An upholstered foot end that sits at 31.5cm, finished in the same fabric as the rest of the frame.
How it helps you: The low height keeps sightlines open across the room and makes it easier to make the bed and tuck in bedding.

Vs divan beds: Bed frames sit on a raised structure and allow airflow beneath the mattress. Divan sets sit close to the floor and include a matched base, often with storage. Frames like the Bloom offer more style variety and a lighter, more open look, while divan sets provide a more integrated finish.
Vs wooden and metal frames: Upholstered frames feel softer to the touch and bring a warmer, more tailored look to the bedroom. Wooden frames are easier to wipe clean and suit rustic or Scandinavian rooms, while metal frames suit industrial or minimalist spaces. Fabric needs a little more care but adds comfort when sitting against the headboard.
Vs other frames in the range: Low-profile upholstered frames sit closer to the floor with a moderate headboard, making them a practical choice for smaller rooms and children's bedrooms. Frames with tall statement headboards, ottoman storage or drawers offer more presence or storage, but take up more visual space in the room.
A mattress is not included with the Bloom Grey Fabric Bed Frame. Any standard UK mattress fits. If you would prefer a matched recommendation, the following mattresses have been selected to work with this base.
