The Acer is a single-over-single bunk bed from Land of Beds, built from solid pine and MDF in a white painted finish with a simple, space-saving design. Both bunks use a wooden slatted base that lets air circulate beneath the mattress, and each bunk accepts a standard UK single mattress, up to 18cm deep on the top bunk. Guard rails run along both sides of the top bunk, and a fixed side ladder gives easy access. The Acer arrives flat packed in 2 boxes for self-assembly, and mattresses are not included.

Worth Knowing
Solid Pine and MDF Frame
What it is: A bunk bed frame constructed from solid pine and MDF, painted in a white finish.
How it helps you: Solid pine gives the frame a sturdy, durable structure that is built to last, and the white painted finish creates a clean, bright look that suits a variety of bedroom styles.
Wooden Slatted Base
What it is: A slatted wooden base supporting the mattress on each bunk.
How it helps you: Allows air to circulate beneath the mattress, helping it breathe for a more comfortable sleep.
Fixed Ladder
What it is: A fixed ladder attached to the side of the frame, with flat rungs leading up to the top bunk.
How it helps you: The fixed position means the ladder cannot slip or be moved accidentally, giving children a steady route up to and down from the top bunk.
Top Bunk Guard Rails
What it is: Safety rails fitted along both sides of the top bunk, with an opening beside the ladder for access.
How it helps you: Helps prevent the sleeper from rolling out during the night - the rails are designed to be used with a mattress no deeper than 18cm, which keeps the effective rail height within the safety specification.

Vs mid sleepers: A mid sleeper has an elevated single bunk with usable space beneath - usually a desk, pull-out bed, or storage - but sleeps only one child. A bunk bed sleeps two in a similar vertical footprint. If you need to sleep two children in one room, a bunk bed is the more space-efficient choice. If you need a workstation or play area beneath the bed for one child, a mid sleeper is the better fit.
Vs high sleepers: A high sleeper raises a single bed to a greater height than a mid sleeper, with a full workstation, sofa, or wardrobe underneath. It sleeps one child and suits teenagers who want a dedicated study or lounge space. A bunk bed prioritises sleeping capacity over under-bed functionality. If sleeping two is the goal, a bunk bed delivers it more directly.
Vs other bunk beds in the range: The Acer is a straightforward single-over-single design with no integrated storage, keeping the focus on two comfortable sleeping spaces. Bunk beds with built-in drawers or shelves add storage, typically at a higher price point, while single-over-double bunk beds can sleep up to three. If you need two sleeping spaces in a clean, simple design, the Acer covers the essentials.
The Acer gives two children their own full-length sleeping space, with guard rails on both sides of the top bunk, a fixed side ladder and wooden slatted bases on both bunks. Built from solid pine and MDF in a clean white painted finish, it is a practical, space-saving choice for a shared bedroom. Mattresses are not included - any standard UK single mattress up to 18cm deep is compatible with the top bunk.
