The Nocturne is a bunk bed from Land of Beds made from pine and MDF in a grey finish, with a single top bunk over a double lower bunk that together sleep up to three. Both bunks use a wooden slatted base, two large drawers beneath the lower bunk add storage, and a fixed angled ladder gives easy access to the top bunk. The top bunk takes a standard UK single mattress up to 20cm deep, and the lower bunk a standard UK double. Mattresses are not included, but optional Topaz and Strauss mattresses can be added at checkout.
The Nocturne from Land of Beds is a grey pine and MDF bunk bed with a single top bunk over a double lower bunk, two large under-bed drawers, guard rails on both sides of the top bunk and a fixed angled ladder, designed for up to three children sharing a room or for sleepovers, with optional mattresses available at checkout.

Worth Knowing
Pine and MDF Frame
What it is: A bunk bed frame constructed from pine and MDF in a grey finish, with slatted end panels and angled side supports.
How it helps you: Pine gives the frame a sturdy, durable structure that is built to last, and the soft grey finish pairs easily with neutral or brightly coloured bedrooms.
Wooden Slatted Base
What it is: A slatted wooden base supporting the mattress on each bunk.
How it helps you: Allows air to circulate beneath the mattress, helping it breathe for a more comfortable sleep.
Fixed Angled Ladder
What it is: A fixed, angled ladder with rounded rungs, built into the side of the frame and leading up to the top bunk.
How it helps you: The angled design is easier to climb than a vertical ladder, and the fixed position means it cannot slip or be moved accidentally.
Top Bunk Guard Rails
What it is: A spindled guard rail along the open side of the top bunk, with rails along the wall side and at both ends, and an opening beside the ladder for access.
How it helps you: Helps prevent the sleeper from rolling out during the night - the rails are designed to be used with a mattress no deeper than 20cm, which keeps the effective rail height within the safety specification.
2 Large Under-Bed Drawers
What it is: Two spacious pull-out drawers built into the base beneath the lower bunk.
How it helps you: Maximises bedroom storage without taking up extra floor space, keeping pyjamas, spare bedding and toys neatly out of sight.

Vs mid sleepers: A mid sleeper has an elevated single bunk with usable space beneath - usually a desk, pull-out bed, or storage - but sleeps only one child. A bunk bed sleeps two (or three in a single/double configuration) in a similar vertical footprint. If you need to sleep two or more children in one room, a bunk bed is the more space-efficient choice. If you need a workstation or play area beneath the bed for one child, a mid sleeper is the better fit.
Vs high sleepers: A high sleeper raises a single bed to a greater height than a mid sleeper, with a full workstation, sofa, or wardrobe underneath. It sleeps one child and suits teenagers who want a dedicated study or lounge space. A bunk bed prioritises sleeping capacity over under-bed functionality. If sleeping two or three is the goal, a bunk bed delivers it more directly.
Vs other bunk beds in the range: The Nocturne is built for families who need to sleep three, with a full double lower bunk and two large drawers built into the base. Single-over-single bunk beds sleep two and take up less floor width, while bunk beds with a pull-out trundle offer a third bed only when it is needed. If you want a permanent sleeping space for three with storage included, the Nocturne covers it in one frame.
Mattresses are not included with the Nocturne. Two different size mattresses are required - a standard UK single (90 x 190cm) for the top bunk and a standard UK double (135 x 190cm) for the lower bunk. The maximum mattress depth for the top bunk is 20cm. The following mattresses have been selected to work with this bed - add the Topaz, the Strauss, or both at checkout.
Topaz Top Bunk Single Mattress
Strauss 1000 Pocket Bottom Bunk Double Mattress
The Nocturne sleeps up to three, with a single top bunk over a double lower bunk, two large drawers for storage and guard rails on both sides of the top bunk. Built from pine and MDF in a soft grey finish, it is a practical, space-saving choice for families with growing children or regular sleepovers. Optional Topaz and Strauss mattresses, each matched to its bunk, are available at checkout.
