The Stanley is a day bed style metal guest bed from Land of Beds, with a steel frame in an antique bronze coating and a back rail and matching ends featuring geometric metalwork. Dressed with cushions it doubles as seating by day, while a trundle beneath rolls out on castors and lifts to main bed height on extendable legs for a single, double-width or twin set-up. Both beds have sprung wooden slats and take a standard UK single mattress, with a maximum trundle mattress depth of 20cm. Mattresses are not included.

Worth Knowing
Steel Frame with Antique Bronze Coating
What it is: A guest bed frame made from steel with an antique bronze metal coating, with matching head and foot ends and a back rail, all featuring geometric metalwork and decorative collar details.
How it helps you: Steel gives the frame a strong, durable structure, and the antique bronze finish blends traditional warmth with a rustic, industrial edge that suits both classic and modern rooms.
Day Bed Style Back Rail
What it is: An 85cm rail running along one long side of the frame, between the 110cm head and foot ends.
How it helps you: Gives the Stanley a sofa-like silhouette, so with cushions and throws it can be used as comfortable seating during the day.
Sprung Wooden Slatted Base
What it is: A base of gently curved wooden slats on both the main bed and the trundle, with 8cm between slats.
How it helps you: The sprung slats work with the mattress to give a comfortable, supportive feel - their natural bounce adjusts to your profile where you exert the most pressure.
Pull-Out Trundle with Lift Mechanism
What it is: A second bed stored beneath the main frame on castors, which rolls out and lifts on extendable legs to the same height as the main bed.
How it helps you: Gives three sleeping options in a single footprint - keep it stored as a single, raise it alongside to create a double-width bed, or push the two beds apart to use as two individual singles.

Vs standard single bed frames: A standard single bed frame gives one sleeping surface and nothing else. A guest bed gives a single bed as its primary function but stores a second sleeping surface underneath, available whenever guests need it. If the room only ever needs to sleep one person, a standard bed frame is simpler, lower in profile, and usually less expensive. If occasional two-person sleeping is needed, a guest bed removes the need for a second bed or a sofa bed entirely.
Vs sofa beds: A sofa bed converts between a sofa and a full sleeping surface, typically opening to a double or larger size. It suits living rooms or rooms where the seating function matters as much as the sleeping function. A guest bed looks like a bed and stays in a bedroom - it does not have a sofa configuration. The trundle provides a second sleeping surface without requiring the room to have a sofa. If you need furniture that acts as a sofa during the day, a sofa bed is the right choice. If you have a spare bedroom and need it to sleep two without having two full beds, a guest bed works well.
Vs other guest beds in the range: The Stanley is the day bed style option - a steel frame with a back rail and matching ends that lets it double as seating, alongside sprung wooden slats on both beds. Guest beds with a traditional headboard and lower footboard suit rooms used mainly for sleeping, while upholstered divan guest beds usually include mattresses and give a softer finish.
The Stanley turns a spare room, snug or home office into a space that works by day and sleeps two overnight guests - dressed with cushions it reads as seating, and the trundle stores neatly beneath, lifting to main bed height in moments. With a steel frame in an antique bronze coating, geometric metalwork and sprung wooden slats on both beds, it brings character and versatility to any room. Mattresses are not included - any standard UK single mattress fits the main bed, and the trundle takes a single up to 20cm deep.
