Product Description

The Taylor Comfort Plus is a soft medium feel eco fibre pocket spring mattress from Silentnight, handcrafted in Great Britain. It is built around a hybrid Mirapocket 1600 spring system combining 600 Mirapocket springs with 1000 mini pocket springs, and filled with Airloft and Comfort Breathe Fibre – both made from recycled content and entirely foam free. The result is a pressure-relieving, deeply breathable mattress that is ideally suited to side sleepers and those who want a softer feel without sacrificing responsive support.

Who Is This Mattress For?

An eco fibre pocket spring mattress best suited to sleepers who want soft medium support, outstanding breathability and minimal partner disturbance.

Soft Medium Feel – 2/6: A gentle balance of softness and support. Soft Medium is perfect for side sleepers and combination sleepers who want pressure relief with a little more stability and support.

Best for

  • Side sleepers – Airloft and the hybrid pocket spring system cushion shoulders and hips to relieve pressure points while keeping your spine aligned
  • Combination sleepers – responsive Mirapocket springs adapt as you move, so the mattress works whether you sleep on your side or your back
  • Couples – independently working pocket springs and mini pocket springs absorb movement so you are less likely to disturb each other
  • Hot sleepers – Airloft is 18x more breathable than memory foam and Comfort Breathe Fibre aids temperature regulation throughout the night
  • Allergy sufferers – hypoallergenic fabric cover creates a cleaner, more comfortable sleep environment
  • Sleepers up to 101kg (16st) per side

Not ideal for

  • Front sleepers who need firmer support
  • Heavier sleepers over 101kg (16st) who may need a firmer tension for better support and durability

Inside This Mattress

Mirapocket Spring System
What it is: Silentnight's individual small springs, each housed in a separate fabric pocket so they work completely independently from one another.
How it helps you sleep: Spreads weight evenly across the bed for zoned support and spinal alignment while eliminating roll-together, so you and your partner are less likely to disturb each other during the night.

Mini Pocket Springs
What it is: Small, individually pocketed springs that create an enhanced comfort layer with targeted support and pressure relief.
How it helps you sleep: Enhance comfort through improved weight distribution, reduced motion transfer and better airflow, promoting better spinal alignment and a more restful, undisturbed sleep.

Zoned Support
What it is: A mattress design where different areas provide varying levels of support, typically firmer in the lumbar region and softer at the shoulders and hips.
How it helps you sleep: Correctly supports and aligns the spine in its natural shape, helping to reduce aches and pains and promoting a deeper, more restorative night's sleep.

Airloft
What it is: Silentnight's breathable alternative to memory foam, made from recycled content and completely foam free. Airloft is independently tested to be 18x more breathable than traditional memory foam.
How it helps you sleep: Provides pressure relief and cushioning comfort without the heat retention associated with memory foam, keeping the sleeping environment fresher and cooler throughout the night.

Comfort Breathe Fibre
What it is: A lightweight comfort fibre filling made from recycled content, designed to be breathable and supportive while remaining eco-friendly.
How it helps you sleep: Aids temperature regulation and pressure relief, helping you sleep cooler and more comfortably, while the recycled content means a reduced environmental footprint.

Pressure Relief and Support
What it is: A mattress design characteristic that balances comfort cushioning with underlying support to minimise pressure point build-up.
How it helps you sleep: Minimises sinking and distributes body weight evenly, helping to reduce aches and pains and allowing you to wake up feeling refreshed and ready for the day.

Hypoallergenic Fabric Cover
What it is: A mattress cover treated or made with hypoallergenic properties to resist common allergens such as dust mites.
How it helps you sleep: Creates a healthier sleeping environment that is ideal for allergy and asthma sufferers, reducing triggers and supporting a more restful night's sleep.

Chemical Free Fire Retardancy
What it is: A mattress cover that meets fire retardancy requirements without the use of any chemical treatments.
How it helps you sleep: Provides peace of mind regarding fire safety while maintaining a fresh, clean, and chemical-free sleeping environment for healthier rest.

Quilted Cover
What it is: A contemporary cover where the top comfort layers are quilted together for a smooth sleeping surface.
How it helps you sleep: Provides soft cushioning and an even, comfortable sleeping surface with an attractive quilted finish.

Mesh Sides
What it is: Open mesh panels running along the sides of the mattress in place of a solid border fabric.
How it helps you sleep: Promotes airflow through the mattress edge to help keep the sleeping environment fresh and well ventilated throughout the night.

Handles
What it is: Fabric or stitched handles attached to the sides of the mattress for ease of movement.
How it helps you sleep: Makes it easy to reposition and rotate the mattress regularly, helping maintain even wear and consistent support.

How it Compares

Vs firmer models: The Taylor Comfort Plus is designed to cushion and relieve pressure rather than provide a firm, rigid surface. For side sleepers and hot sleepers in particular, the softer tension combined with Airloft delivers a more comfortable night than a medium or firmer option. If you sleep on your front or need maximum orthopaedic support, a firmer model is likely the better fit.

Vs softer models: The Taylor Comfort Plus sits at soft medium rather than full soft, which means it still offers responsive support beneath the comfort layers. Pure soft models may feel more immediately plush but can lack the stability that combination sleepers need when switching between positions during the night.

Vs premium and luxury ranges: The Taylor Comfort Plus's hybrid 1600 spring system – combining Mirapocket and mini pocket springs – and its Airloft filling place it closer to higher-end construction than a standard single-layer eco fibre mattress. The distinction versus luxury tiers is typically in the depth and variety of comfort layers rather than any compromise in spring quality or the standard of UK craftsmanship.

5 Year Guarantee

The Taylor Comfort Plus is backed by Silentnight's 5 year manufacturer's guarantee against defects in materials and workmanship. With a hybrid spring system and foam-free eco fillings handcrafted in Great Britain, this is a mattress built to deliver consistent comfort and support well beyond that period. The guarantee gives you added confidence in your investment from night one.
