The Bridgwater is a natural pocket sprung pillowtop mattress from Relyon, handcrafted in Great Britain. It is built around 1400 pocket springs and layered with Dunlopillo Latex, a blended Wool, Cashmere and Silk comfort layer, soft white fibre and a recycled eco support base – entirely foam free throughout. The result is a medium feel mattress that combines the responsive support of pocket springs with the breathability and pressure relief of premium natural fillings, making it a genuinely versatile choice for most sleeper types.
A natural pocket sprung pillowtop mattress, best suited to sleepers who want medium support, natural temperature regulation and the pressure-relieving comfort of Dunlopillo Latex.
Medium Feel – 3/6: The goldilocks option – not too firm, not too soft. Medium is the most versatile firmness level, balancing comfort and support in a way that suits most sleeper types.

Pocket Springs
What it is: Individual springs each enclosed in their own fabric pocket, working independently to provide personalised support.
How it helps you sleep: The upper part shapes to body contours while the lower part absorbs weight distribution changes, working independently to avoid roll-together and provide superior personal support.
Pillowtop

White Fibre Layer
What it is: A dust-free white polyester fibre filling formed into a deep layer to provide softness and resilience.

Firm Edge Support
What it is: Firmer springs or foam along the outer edge of the mattress that provide a more supportive perimeter.
How it helps you sleep: Extends the usable sleeping surface right to the edge of the mattress and prevents roll-off, giving you a more secure and comfortable night's sleep.
Hand Tufted
What it is: A traditional upholstery method where fillings are secured by hand with tufts running from the top to the bottom of the mattress.
How it helps you sleep: Keeps all loose fillings evenly distributed and firmly in place, maintaining consistent comfort and preventing lumps from forming over time.
Rows of Side Stitching

Vs firmer models: The Bridgwater's medium tension combined with its pillowtop and Dunlopillo Latex comfort layers give it noticeably more pressure relief than a firmer model. For side sleepers or anyone who wants a plush, natural feel with genuine support, this is the more comfortable choice. Firmer models are better suited to heavier sleepers or those who need a very rigid, orthopaedic-style surface.
Vs softer models: The Bridgwater has more structural support beneath the pillowtop than a soft mattress, making it the better long-term choice for combination sleepers and couples who need the mattress to hold spinal alignment across different sleeping positions. Softer options can feel more immediately luxurious but may not maintain consistent support over time.
Vs premium and luxury ranges: The Bridgwater shares the same handcrafted UK construction, natural fillings and pocket spring technology found in higher-end Relyon models. The distinction at this level is typically in the depth and number of individual comfort layers rather than any compromise in craftsmanship, spring quality or the standard of materials used.
The Bridgwater is backed by Relyon's 10 year manufacturer's guarantee against defects in materials and workmanship. With a pocket spring system, premium natural fillings and handcrafted construction, this is a mattress built to deliver lasting comfort and support. The guarantee reflects the quality of what is inside and gives you confidence in your investment from night one.
National Bed Federation (NBF) Approved - Independently verified to meet strict UK standards for quality, safety and responsible manufacturing. Every Relyon product carrying this mark has been tested and approved by the industry's own regulatory body.
Made in Britain - Independently certified confirmation that this divan set is manufactured in the UK.
Manufacturing Guild Mark - Awarded by the National Bed Federation to manufacturers who demonstrate consistently high standards of production quality. It is a mark that has to be earned through ongoing assessment, not simply applied for.
The Bridgwater delivers medium support, Dunlopillo Latex pressure relief, naturally temperature-regulating Wool, Cashmere and Silk fillings and a pillowtop finish – all foam free, handcrafted in Great Britain and backed by a 10 year guarantee. If you want a mattress that genuinely breathes, cushions and supports across any sleeping position, this is a well-crafted choice.
